Valerie J. Peiler served as an Arbitrator with the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission for fifteen years prior to joining Brady, Connolly & Masuda, P.C. in 2006. In that position, she issued approximately 2000 arbitration decisions. Among those decisions were questions of first impression, such as penalties for failure to pay wage differential benefits; vocational rehabilitation standards for undocumented workers; and termination of temporary total disability benefits prior to maximum medical improvement. She also served as a public member Commissioner during two interim appointments, hearing cases in Chicago and downstate review venues.
