Laura E. Hartin

Laura E. Hartin defends employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in a variety of legal matters stemming from workers’ compensation claims in Illinois. She has experience before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission and has worked many cases from inception through trial. Prior to joining the firm, Laura practiced workers’ compensation defense for the Chicago Transit Authority and the Attorney General’s office.
During her time at the Attorney General’s office, she represented the following agencies in workers’ compensation matters:

- Illinois Department of Public Health
- Illinois Department of Human Services
- Illinois Department of Children and Family Services
- Illinois State Police
- Illinois Board of Higher Education

When she is not practicing law she enjoys bicycle rides along the lakeshore path, kayaking, playing soccer, and taking her elderly dog on very slow walks.
